Did you notice the information about Street Pastors
on the home page?

Lounge café |
There are opportunities to help us in our Lounge Café which is open from 10.00am
until 2.00pm from Monday to Friday. We need people, of an open and friendly disposition,
who can give some time to preparing and serving food.
|

Children's Centre |
The Oxford Place Children's Centre serves as a crèche for the law courts
which are situated next door to Leeds Methodist Mission. We need people to work
alongside the two staff in caring for the children who are placed in the crèche.
The Children's Centre is open Monday to Friday 9.30am to 4.00pm with a lunch break at 1.00pm.
|

Person-to-Person |
The Person-to-Person Listening Service operates in the Oxford Place Centre
from 10.00am until 2.00pm from Monday until Friday. We need more people who are
willing to help in this work. Volunteers need to have plenty of patience and be 'good listeners'.
A limited amount of training is available but volunteers need an initial aptitude for this work.
|

Welcome & Security Duty |
An important aspect of the ministry of Leeds Methodist Mission
is that the Oxford Place Centre be open as often as possible.
In order to do this, we need volunteers to maintain a welcoming presence
in the Reception and to ensure the safety and security of all those
in the building. We especially need people willing to do this work in the
evening and at weekends.
|

Keeping everyone safe |
It is the policy of the Methodist Church in Britain that the employment of volunteer workers
should be subject to an enhanced disclosure from the CRB through
the Churches Agency on Safeguarding.
The Superintendent Minister of the Leeds Methodist Mission shall guide
applicants through this process and is happy to talk to prospective
volunteers about it.
